                        **AMENDED BY RESOLUTION NO. 20718
                 
                  A RESOLUTION DECLARING A MORATORIUM ON CERTAIN
                  REZONINGS UNTIL SEPTEMBER 18, 1995, SO AS TO
                  PERMIT THE CHATTANOOGA-HAMILTON COUNTY
                  REGIONAL PLANNING COMMISSION TIME TO PERFORM A
                  STUDY, SAID AREA BEING MORE PARTICULARLY
                  DESCRIBED HEREIN.
                 
                 
                                                    
                 
                 
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby declared a
       moratorium on rezonings in an area of Brainerd until September 
18,
       1995, so as to allow the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Regional
       Planning Commission time to perform a study, which area is more
       particularly described as follows:
                             BRAINERD ZONING STUDY
                               LEGAL DESCRIPTION
           
            	 Properties located generally between Interstate 24
            and Belle Vista Avenue, and between Sherwood Avenue and
            South Chickamauga Creek.
           
                 All the properties being within the following
                 boundaries:  Beginning on the Chattanooga-East
                 Ridge City Limit Line near the intersection of
                 the centerline of South Seminole Drive with
                 the northeast line of Interstate 24, thence
                 northeast with the center of South Seminole
                 Drive to the centerline of East Main Street,
                 thence northwest with East Main Street to the
                 centerline of Sherwood Avenue, thence
                 northeast and northwest with Sherwood Avenue
                 to the centerline of Rosemont Drive, thence
                 northwest with Rosemont Drive to the
                 centerline of North Crest Road, thence
                 northeast with North Crest Road to the
                 centerline of Rose Terrace, thence southeast
                 with Rose Terrace to the centerline of
                 Clearview Avenue, thence northeast with

                 Clearview Avenue to the centerline of a 20
                 foot wide unopened alleyway, thence northwest,
                 northeast, northwest, and northeast with the
                 centerline of said alleyway, and said line
                 extended, to the Chattanooga-Ridgeside City
                 Limit Line, thence southeast, southwest,
                 southeast, and northeast with said city limit
                 line to the centerline of Ridgeside Road,
                 thence southeast with Ridgeside Road to the
                 centerline of North Germantown Road, thence
                 southwest with North Germantown Road to the
                 centerline of Rogers Road, thence southeast
                 with Rogers Road to the centerline of Talley
                 Road, thence northeast with Talley Road to the
                 centerline of Midland Pike, thence southeast
                 with Midland Pike to a point 200 feet
                 northwest of the northwest line of Caruthers
                 Road, thence northeast parallel to, and at all
                 points 200 feet northwest of, Caruthers Road
                 to the centerline of Belle Vista Avenue,thence
                 southeast with the centerline of Belle Vista
                 Avenue, and said line extended, to the
                 centerline of South Chickamauga Creek as
                 relocated, thence southeast with the
                 centerline of said relocated creek to the
                 centerline of Brainerd Road, thence southwest
                 with Brainerd Road to the extension of the
                 centerline of a 25 foot unnamed and unopened
                 right-of-way on the northeast line of the
                 Revised Bonameade Subdivision, thence
                 southeast with said extension, and continuing
                 with said right-of-way, to the centerline of
                 Interstate 24, thence southwest and northwest
                 with Interstate 24 to a point 150 feet
                 southeast of the southeast line of Parkdale
                 Avenue, thence northeast parallel to, and at
                 all points 150 feet southeast of, Parkdale
                 Avenue to the centerline of Tax Map No.
                 157O-D-18, thence northwest with the
                 centerline of said lot to the centerline of
                 Parkdale Avenue, thence northeast with
                 Parkdale Avenue to the centerline of Brainerd
                 Road, thence northwest with Brainerd Road to
                 the centerline of Germantown Road, thence
                 southwest with South Germantown Road to the
                 Chattanooga-East Ridge City Limit Line, thence
                 northwest with said city limit line to the
                 point of beginning.  Part of Tax Map Numbers
                 146, 147, 156 and 157.
